Happy Halloween! We celebrated this holiday with games and candy. We drew monsters together, competed in a mummy race and had some students come by to trick-or-treat!
This was the first Lunch with Julie! I was delighted to eat with 6 students. I get to teach many students but I don’t often get to talk with them individually. We talked about hobbies, pets and food, for example. We shared snacks and smiles. I like that students of different classes get to meet and become friends at lunch. I hope many friendships are made.
Hello, We are a group of 2-year students who go to Taisei Girls High Schoool. In Japan, there are many traditional events. We will introduce some of them. On New Year’s Day, we eat a dish called Osechi. Osechi is a Japanese dish we eat to celebrate the new year. On February third, we have an event where we scatter soybeans in the house. We do this to scare away the Japanese Devil which is called Oni. Do you have any traditional events in your country? If you do, please tell about it in your letter sometime. We will love to read about it. Take care!
